About

Men and Women for Human Excellence, Inc. (MWFHE) were incorporated in the State of Georgia on October 17, 2013. In January of 2014, MWFHE officially launched our emergency shelter and transitional housing programs in Decatur, GA for unaccompanied homeless adult males and females. On January 5, 2015 MWFHE became licensed to provide Drug Abuse Treatment and Educational Services for adults 18 and over in the state of Georgia. With our license to provide substance abuse treatment, we are now able to offer individual and group therapy sessions to the residents in our Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing programs.

As part of the effort of MWFHE to service the homeless population in DeKalb County, GA we are initiating the MWFHE Homeless Project. The MWFHE Homeless Project has two programs; Emergency Shelter Program; and the Transitional Housing Program. To that end, we have completed applications for funding to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Balance of State Continuum of Care (BoS CoC) Emergency Solutions Grants Program to provide emergency shelter and transitional housing for unaccompanied homeless adults in DeKalb County, GA.

MWFHE are continuing to build and grow our Outpatient Drug Abuse Treatment and Educational Services at our treatment location 1026 Holcombe Road, Suite C, Decatur, GA 30032.
